CZ 455 Jaguar

I saw the add on facebook for it, and had a look at it on the CZ website. It looked pretty good. I've got an order in for it already. Anyone else like the look of it??

I noticed it on Rimfire Central a couple of weeks ago. Looks neat but will it shoot as well as 452s?

I haven't seen a 455 that doesn't shoot as well as a 452 for my purposes... But I have a collection of 453s... lol

I'd be curious about what that barrel length does/does not do for accuracy. Also wonder whether or not a barrel that long actually reduces velocity ever so slightly...? Not saying it would matter, but I've read that by the time a 22 round reaches about the 16"-18" mark in the barrel, the powder is completely burned. The Jag's barrel is 10"+ longer than that.

Cool rifle, though it has the Lux style stock=not ideal for scope use. If it had the "American" stock, I might feel a little temptation.

I'd say that the barrel length increases the 'fineness' of the iron sights. The longer the barrel, the more accurate it will be with iron sights is my experience. As I like iron sights, I don't think it would be a problem for me. However, I'd want a set trigger.
