Does anyone know if these are available in Canada?
Probably just a CZ-455 Varmint with a Boyds Tacticool stock but I like the complete package and enjoy "sniping" with 22lr bolts. The other option is a Savage MKII TR but I prefer the bolt design of the CZ's.

I was looking for one of those couldnt find it tho, I have a CZ 452 varmint and tried to buy the tacticool stock from Boyds. no go! they wont import to canada. I had to get prophet river to import the stock for me.

All heavy barrel CZs are harder to come by. This is especially try in .22lr. I'm sure there are some of these in Canada, just gonna be tough (impossible?) to get your hands on. Also the savage mk ii tr is just a wood stock with rhino liner on it.

I recall someone on CGN importing one through I Run Guns. It's a really nice looking rifle. I'd probably sell my Savage TR to get one of these.

Some surfing on the net didn't provide me with any leads in Canada. Appears the CZ-455 also is also available with a MCS composite stock….nice.

The tacticool stock is illegal to export form the usa no matter what. The one imported form org was the precision trainer. They sell for 950+ bucks as well.

It's my understanding that the Tacticool stock (alone) can not be imported into Canada by the average Consumer but can be had as a part of a complete rifle (MII TR, etc). Makes perfect sense to me….

hometownhero, who imports the precision trainer?

Yup. I know you can get a replacement tacticool from savage if you have a savage and want the stock. No idea how to get one for a different rifle though. Cz usa won't ship up here. Maybe through warranty with dlask arms?

Should be able to get it imported by anyone that does that like prophet river or I run guns to name the first 2 I think of. It will cost a bit more because of the fees charged but if that is your thing It may be worth it. The stock on that once can be weighted to match your bigger rifles as well.

Im looking for the CZ - 455 varmint tacticool as well let me know if you find one here in canada or manage to get one up here. I just want a 22 bolt action with a shorter barrel. I guess the other option is the savage TRSR but I have a savage in 17HMR and want to try CZ for a change.

My pleasure. You're probably already aware, but just in case.... the CZ "Tacticool" and "Precision Trainer" are two different animals. The Tacticool is indeed the Boyds stock, which is difficult if not impossible to export from the U.S. to Canada. The Manners is obtainable but way more expensive than the Boyds. I've never had the pleasure of handling one so I couldn't tell you if it's worth the extra money or not. I know Manners used to ship to Canada, they might refer you to their distributors now but you might want to give them a try. I noticed Alberta Tactical is warning of a 1 year lead time on Manners stocks. Your best bet might be Prophet River or Irunguns to import the whole rifle.

Pocisk….thanks for the lead on the stock!
