Thinking about getting a CZ 455 TH Varmint. I've heard the inletting isn't the best as there is a lot of gap between the barrel and the stock. Anyone own one that can verify?

I had a CZ452 Thumbhole Varmint a while back but sold it cuz of the fit. 452 and 455 have the same stock, made by Boyds.

Inletting was kinda loose but it worked well. Problem was that you had to have super long fingers as the pistol grip area was sloped back at such an angle that it was a really long reach to get to the trigger. (I don't have small hands either.)

Anyone else experience this? I have average size hands.

I got a Boyds thumbhole stock for my Marlin 795-fits perfect. The only issue is the weight-its not as handy for a walking gun

The 455 THV actually uses a Boyds stock..thats where they get them from. LOP is a little short at 13" for this stock but can easily be extended if one wishes. The hand grip is a a little large and I can just barely reach the trigger comfortably...but I have big hands. Highly suggest you handle one first before buying. one of the caveats of a generic TH stock is that its designed to fit most hands good...but no hand perfectly.
