I just noticed that on the LeBaron online catalog the 452 A is no longer listed, it now says 455 American.

What is the difference between the two? Was going to pickup a LH 452 A but was waiting a bit cause I just blew a bunch of cash on a new shotgun.

The 455 is a new action design that CZ designed to be easier to manufacture than the current 452 and cut down on the number of different receivers they have to produce. The same action is used for .22LR, .17 HMR, and .22 WMR. A barrel retained by setscrews makes it possible to have a switch barrel rifle.

Time will tell whether these rifles are made to the same standard as the previous 452s.

Crap...now the question is which one to buy. Of course CZ is going to make it sound like the new one is an improvement over the old one but that's not always the case.

I guess the safer bet would be the 452 cause it's a proven design.

If you want a 452 american I suggest you get on it there getting harder to find.personly i don't think the 455 is going to measure up to the quality of the 452.from what I have read on RFC they have made a fair number of changes and in most of reviews its not the same quality as the 452.although I do like the switch barrel idea one reciever for the 3 calibers.

I see a few dealers (P&D, Epps) are listing the 455 Standard in stock (I presume these are from Europe since the CZ USA website doesn't even list that model). Anybody have one? First impressions?
