In the new CZ 455, I understand you can change barrels to a couple of different calibres. Anyone tried this and found it ok? Problems? Your thoughts please...debating a 452 vs the 455

Kooter Sako found out that you can't sell switch barrel 22's here in Canada, I think CZ is going to find the same results! CZ USA is taking CZ-check rebublic down a road of mediocrety. Seems when the Americans put the nose into a good firearms company, they screw it the H^%L UP! I work at a local gunshop and we have not been able to sell 1 switch barrel rimfire! Anyone looking for a good price on a Quad? If I guy wants a rimfire he ussally is willing to buy another gun, just my opinion? THe head at CZ will find out that he has no job left if they completely get rid of the CZ452 as this is the bread and butter of CZ company income!Dale Z!

The barrel swap is an interesting idea.... however CZ did a rather mediocre job of it.

I just watched the video on whats involved with switching the barrel, and its quite disappointing compared to the Sako quad. You practically disassemble the whole rifle. I guess thats why the Sako is at least double the price.

Just for fun compare the Sako Quad

How do switch barrel rimfires sell in the US? Being 10x the market size of Canada, I believe that would be the main focus of CZ USA. I didn't get the impression the CZ455 was marketed as a switch barrel. The Sako Quad comes with 4 barrels and 2 different magazines. It is marketed as a switch barrel. If the CZ455 performs and handles as well as it's predecessor, the CZ452, and sells at the same price, I think it will be here to stay.

Being looking for a week, none of the stores in GVRD has the 455 American in the $500 range. Selection of other 455 models are limited. Either they are not stocking them or all sold out.

Another else notice the Varmint is more cheaper than the American when list price is higher.
