So I picked up a steel 10 rd mag on the weekend. Did some shooting yesterday and I wasn't very happy with the performance. Seemed like the follower kept getting stuck? I ran 100rds through it and it didn't seem to get any better. Anyone else have this problem? Just wondering if it will work itself in or I should take a few thou off the follower width?

Can you take the mag apart ? I only have plastic and I don't know if the metal ones open. There may be debris inside, or some mfg fault catching the follower. If you push the follower down fully, look inside with a lite to see if there's a problem there.
PS - I follow USA forums for CZ - RFC and CZfirearms .us. You might search there for tips.

I've had issues on a couple mags that had been heavily used and never cleaned for decades. They just needed a scrub to get going again. These mags easy to take apart and clean, use a pin punch to depress the spring from the bottom of the floor plate and slide the floor plate off.

yup, ill take it apart and have a look. Didn't have time yesterday. I was wondering if it was common. I don think its squished because it seemed inconsistent. Hopefully just needs a clean up and maybe a burr here and there removed.

Thanks Guys

Metal or plastic? I've had followers jam on 10rd. metal ones, never on the polymer. I know one guy who loads only 9 rounds in his 10 rounders because one or more mags he owns don't seem to hold the the 10th round at the right angle (under full spring tension). Not me, I only own 5 rounders. lol

Its a metal one.......That could be the problem when I tried to permanently modify it to be a 5 round mag. The machining and welding may have left some burrs or spatter...... Thanks for the reminder 22LRGUY!!!

I had a factory new 10 rounder that had the follower installed back to front. Easy to take apart and reverse, if that's the problem.
