I picked up a CZ 457 and I'm trying to decide on how to "dress" it

Firstly, how do scopes mount? I think I read it has an 11mm dovetail? I'm thinking of getting an Area 419 Picatinny rail (link), hopefully with lower rings I can keep the scope as low as possible - has anyone tried this setup?

I've seen a few rifles setup for rimfire competitions and they all have a rail like this (Arca rail - is that the correct term?) - is there a reason for that? They look like this - link

And how do bipods attach to the two spigots at the front? I already have an MPOD with a picatinny adaptor so is there any way I can get a small section of pic rail up front so I can use the bipod? They look like this:

Concerning the scope mounting you can go with dovetail rings which will eliminate the use of a rail, the best bipod setup would be a Harris which can be found on the EE for about $100 in as new condition and which mounts to the studs in the stock. I can't help you with the use of the Arca rail, I've never used one myself.
Welcome to the 457 club :)

1st stud at front is for bipod second is for sling attach, you would have to have receiver drilled and tapped or CZ rail that slides on grooves and two screws tighten in the divets you see in top of. Bare receiver

Can offer groove to weaver base... then conventional rings to help mount your scope and shim as needed.

For the MPOD, tell me what the distance is between the 2 studs and we can get a rail to suit.

wrt to arca rail, that is just because in PRS you want to be able to slide the accessories all over the place and the ARCA rail makes it easy. If you aren't going to play this game, it really isn't needed.

Let me know what I can help with.
