cz 457 at one rifle vs. Browning laminate stainless

My money would be for the Browning in 22 WMR. Having said that I am hugely biased toward Browning…..the best there is.
I doubt you could go wrong with either of them but a stainless rifle will last forever.

Like crumper I have a similar bias for Browning. I own a 17HMR stainless laminate. Everyone who shoots it loves it for the accuracy and the straight pull action. The downside is the limited options with trigger upgrades. That said I don't have an issue with the stock trigger.

The 457. The majority of them are incredibly accurate right out of the box. Later on if you want to change things up, the aftermarket support is enormous. Barrels, chassis, stocks , trigger groups, mag, magwells, etc. There's also the ability to easily switch between different chamberings/ barrels. AFAIK there isn't much there in the way of customization for the Browning.

I agree with this. I don’t know how much adtermarket support the browning gets, but the cz457 has alot of options if you decide to change directions and go towards nrl22, or spin a better barrel on.

My vote goes to the 457.
I still have a hate on for CZ as part of Colt for willingness to participate in the gun grab. But that my opinion and shouldn’t use it to point someone in the “wrong” direction.

457 all day, any day.Too many upgrade options available if you choose where there are slim to none for the Browning. Stick with the 22LR for bench shooting and find an ammo it likes and it will shine well past 300. I personally wouldn't even consider a bench gun in 22WMR as there is nothing for match ammo available for it and you'd likely save more money if you built a 223Rem with the cost of 22WMR now days.
The AT-one stock didn't have enough height for me, or enough length, but, I have wider shoulders and longer arms than a lot of people I guess. There were/are alternative extension parts avail from Boyd's, but, not cheap. And I'd definitely recommend NDr mags, pricy, but, they work the way they're supposed to, CZ didn't. Part of the issue was I wanted to use Burris XTR Signature rings, at that time they didn't make low ones, they do now, which are perfect with an MDT Field stock on it and an MDT 30moa rail and a 50 or 56mm objective w/sunshade.
For bench shooting I have a VMTR and a Timney trigger adjusted down to ca 5-oz. I only have to pinch the trigger and I use an 'old' Primos 'Group Therapy' one-piece rest that gives max stability OR a Caldwell Rock Competition Front plus a rear bag. And Athlon Argos 8-34x56 FFP on XTRs and 30MOA 419 rail.
