I see them for sale in Canada but not sure if they are ever in stock lately? Or if you can actually get them? Only ever see 20” listed, anyone know if 16.5” is also available? Do barrelled actions also have a “shot card” with them? I believe most CZ 457 complete guns come with a 5 shot group card of sorts, so wondering if the barrelled actions do? Maybe I am better off buying the 16.5” MTR stock version and drop the stock.

I have a question; is the MTR Barrel actually made by Mountain Tactical, or is it playing off of their trade mark?

As far as I know they are made by CZ and the MTR stands for Match Target Rifle. I believe a tighter chamber than the none MTR.

I answered my own question; finally found the answer from CZUB's website, they are made by CZ in Europe. They do have the European thread (1/2-20).

I compared standard SAAMI .22 specs, SAAMI .22 "Match" specs and European CIP data. Turns out SAAMI Match and CIP are virtually identical. I think this is supported by my own experience; most everyone who has ever tried to chamber CCI Stingers with their slightly longer brass in a CZ 22 will notice the bolt is harder to close; CZ even advises against using stingers.

With the 'shortage' o most CZ rifles in N-America I'd guess finding a 'lone barreled action' is apretty slim chance. Maybe if there is a barreled-action on a LGS shelf somewhere . . . I'd suggest getting any CZ offered that comes with the MTR-barrel/chamber. They come in 2-3 diff models. The Varmint heavy barrel may be more accurate just due to being 'less flexible' RE 'barrel-whip'. All CZs are still vulnerable to "Barrel Lottery" effects so a 'Sporter barrel' may be more accurate than a VMTR but the next one 'won't'. And from what I've read on several forums, the CZs nowadays do not come with 'shot cards'.
