Dunno why, but I'm in love with this gun. Idk why the 28 inch barrel but I am curious if there is any actual gains in accuracy. Or for anything else? I know longer barrel doesn't always mean more accurate but there's gotta other benefits. I am interested in 22 mag or 17 hmr.

A benefit of a long barrel is that they're way quieter ... if that matters to you. A 28" barrel and subsonic shells would sound like you have a silencer installed. Also, a long barrel has a longer sight radius, so more accurate with iron sights

Give'r :)

Sometimes you have to just get the thing in question (if you can swing it) and see if it's for you. The only way to know. Playing with it for a while only reduces it's value a bit if you decide to resell a year later. So, worst-case scenario...you're out $100-$200 for the privilege of seeing if a gun like this is a "forever one".

That's solid advice bud. I've wasted more money on less hahaha

CZ stated that the longer barrel is for hunting with high and hyper velocity .22 ammo; and it is supposed to improve stabalization on these hotter loads. My Lux shoots mini-mags and stingers better than it does standard velocity ammo.

If you miss, you might be able to just poke them with the long barrel.

Love my long barreled mossberg 146. It does sound completely suppressed shooting quiets, my pellet gun is louder. And it does stabilize HV stuff very well too. Super accurate. And it's a 26" barrel.

Well I'm interested to try it. I shoot majority high velocity, Remington yellow jackets and CCI mini mags. All for hunting. 99% Richardson ground squirrels. Currently I'm launching them out of a 10 inch custom built 10/22. I'm on no problem at 100, around 6 inches. I just wanna tighten that a bit and poke a bit further.

I have 3 CZs; you will be wondering why you bothered with the 10/22. Different league.
