Hi all - I'm new to CZ rifles and the 11mm dovetail. What options do I have for mounting a 1" scope as low as possible (2-7x33)?

Thanks in advance!

I used Warne brand Maxima rings. These ones are Quick Detach - 721LM - Medium height - the clamp thing has a dot on it - up for one size, down for other size - is for either 3/8" or 11 mm dovetails. I am sure that Warne makes similar fixed ring clamps as well - if you do not want the quick detach type.

EDIT: May not be obvious to all - that backing card in the clear plastic "bubble" container - is a folded card - remove it and open it to see instructions to position that dot, on inside faces of that card.

FYI - I had set one about perfect for clearance over barrel - CZ 452 Scout - then bolt handle would collide with the scope eye piece. So need to watch clearance at both ends of the scope that you choose.

Yup, same here. 457 and use Warne Maxima Medium, 721M (not sure what the difference is with mine and the 721LM). I got mine at Cabela's last year for I think $50 or thereabouts.

From Warne website - appears the 721M (yours) has a locking cap screw to hold clamp; 721LM (mine) has a lever that makes it "Quick Detach" without needing tools.

As per Post #3 - if receiver already has integral dovetail grooves, not sure why to use an additional rail, between receiver and rings - one more connection that I am not sure is helping - possibly to gain height??

Thanks folks - I don't want a quick detach setup. Low height and low profile is what I'm after.

Looks like Talley makes a nice slick set of dedicated rings for the CZ, they look pretty low. Anybody here try them?

Other ideas?

I put Burris signature rim fire rings on mine. Medium height JUST CLEARS my 3–12x40 bushnell prime (with side parallax) . My 4-12 bushnell banner 2 didn’t clear.

Tiny - Is that at the ocular, or the objective lens?

I have always had a problem with cz and mounting scopes. Seems like there bolt throw is very high. I had to go with med high rings just so the bolt wouldn’t rub on my scope on my 455 in 17hmr. The scope is a 4-12x40 red hot 17 by scorpion optics, and it just clears now.

Same here - exact same issue - scope was a Leupold VX Freedom 2-7x33 rimfire on a BRNO #1 - "Medium" Warne Maxima 1B1LM rings about perfect for front end clearance - bolt handle hit the eye piece - could have bent the bolt handle, then carved into stock for bolt handle clearance, but instead chose to just get higher "High" height rings - Warne Maxima 2B1LM. The special "spice" is the BRNO has 16 mm dovetails - so same as the CZ 527 - those are the rings that I ended up using.

OP - was a thing that I read - clamp rifle in holder - use coins and stack up a "mock up" with your scope - can determine ahead of time the height distance that you need for clearance at both ends - and then discover that various makers have much different dimensions for "Low, "Medium" and "High" rings. I think I found on Brownell's website that they often give the ring height in inches - sometimes to bottom of scope body, sometimes to centre of the 1" ring.
