CZ 457 MDT Chassis Options?

So I just recently got the opportunity to get a very reasonable discount on MDT products and wanted to get some opinions in on something before I pull the trigger. I have a CZ 457 that I'm trying to get out for some actual precision shooting. Don't have oodles of money to dump into the accessories, and I'm trying not to be somewhat of a Mall-Ninja so what would you guys get for a chassis Ford from MDT? Don't want it to weigh a tun either.

I'm looking at the XRS chassis specifically. Whats yall's 2c on the matter?
 
The thing to remember with a discount is that the more expensive the item, the more you save. So naturally the ACC is the best choice.
 
You have a choice between the LSS-RF, ACC or XRS; those are the only chassis with 457 inlets. If you are serious about precision, the ACC is the way to go, but remember you still need to buy the accessories for it. If money is the main issue, the LSS-RF will serve you well without breaking the bank. Though honestly, any one of them, XRS included, would serve your purpose. It's really up to your personal preference for aesthetics and cost. Check out the descriptions of each on their website and decide what is best for you. Personally, I'd throw a 457 in a LSS-RF (and get it cerakoted ODG) and spend the rest of my money on accessories and ammo.

I've had both the XRS (on a centrefire) and the Rimfire LSS. The xrs is a solid chassis, very comfortable. I preferred the lss rimfire because its very small and sleek. And simple. Its just a block of aluminum. But thats just personal preference as I like to keep things compact. If you go with the LSS I highly recommend their skeleton carbine stock. Any of their 3 options are nice. I'm currently running the skeleton light carbine but I've had the composite one too and its pretty nice for just over $100.

My reasons are I actually prefer the plastic feel of the XRS over the all aluminum LSS-RF Gen 2. As mentioned it is cold during winter time shooting. I also sold the LSS Chassis I had for my Remington 700 and switched back to my Magpul Hunter stock. I like the fact the XRS came with two grip style and I prefer the vertical grip. The other thing I like about the XRS over the LSS-RF Gen 2 is the longer, wider and flat bottom forend. This changed two things for my rifle, balance point moved from the mag well forward to the barricade stop and I'm using a 16.5" barrel. With the wider and flat bottom forend it helps keeping the rifle stable when shooting off a front rest. I really hated the side to side movement of the LSS-RF because of the narrow forend.

The Skeleton Carbine Stock, for me it was uncomfortable to shoot from my non-dominant side. I'm right handed/ right eye dominant and when I practice shooting from my left/ non-dominant it was very uncomfortable to get a good cheek weld. This is a non-issue with the XRS.

I’ve got a 17hmr and a 22lr in the XRS and they both feel and shoot very well and it’s nice that MDT gives you the choice of two different grips with the XRS.
 
Just a Q here - c.308, where did you find the stock for just over $100 ? I can't find any MDT for less than $200+
 
Have the XRS on the 457 it's great. Have the ACC on my CF rifle and it's great too. Only down side of the XRS is you have to buy the Arca rail for the forend
 
btabin, thanks for that clarification for me. I had seen the CCS but was looking for the complete chassis since that was the thread topic. My mistake for not catching that detail in the post.
