I thought I'd share my MTR experience so far, This rifle is my introduction into precision rimfire, and so far its a blast, I love all the different type of ammo and testing process.
The rifle as it stands has :
Vortex Diamondback tactical 6-24x50 moa
Area 419 30 moa rail
Area 419 bolt knob
Yodave trigger spring with trigger set to 1lb

only had it out for 2 outings so far.
First outing is with the SK variety pack, It shot good, but have since upgraded my rest set up, so next go round I expect even better results.
Ran quite a few random brands of 22 as well to see how they would perform.
Starting getting some extraction and ejection issues as well, I see there is a mod that can be done to the extractor to improve this, I'll give it whirl here soon.

Anyways here's my targets and results, SK is from the first outing and the rest is from the second outing
As you can see the second set of targets has a 25 shot fouling/seasoning group followed by five 5 shot groups.
Unfortunately this gun doesn't seem to like CCI SV, Like most other CZ's seems to

All groups at 50 yards

OP... Thanks for your post. I always enjoy reading post like yours and appreciate the effort put into it.

I posted a similar post several years ago. You can search my old post to see if your results are similar to mine.

Cheers.

I actually found your post before I bought my MTR, do you still shoot it regularly?

So far I found the same kind of groupings with my 457 MTR 20" and some of your sample brands.
It still winter though. The SK Biathlon Sport shoots better, but I'll wait for warm weather before I make a judgement.

That's the only one I didn't try, the lube on the bullets is different on the biathlon than the regular SK rounds so they suggest cleaning and refouling before grouping, maybe next outing I'll start with those

Yea, even though it warmed up to 6 C yesterday and calm winds the barrel never warmed up in my test. Started with SK Biathlon Sport and it was grouping good, then I switched to Eley match, SK standard plus, CCI SV [hard to chamber those] and it seemed to like SK Rifle match a little better, but then the groups would become erratic. Back to SK Biathlon and things returned to normal. Makes a good winter round for practice. I have yet to try some Eley and Lapua Biathlon ammo.
So far I'm really liking the rifle. I did a trigger spring change and have it light and crisp. Feeds and extracts flawlessly.

I wish mine would like CCI SV since I have a ton, it just doesn't seem to, Iam going to play with the torque settings next outing and see if it changes anything, I have the yo Dave spring in as well and set at 1lb, I might go down to 3/4 and see Aswell, I've had some extraction issues the last outing with federal auto match and winchester, wouldn't extract some live rounds, extracted the fired ones. Currently modifying the extractor, my rifle seems to push all ammo I've tried right into the rifling, which is a good thing I've read.q

I was happy to see a tight chamber in this gun. Looking forward to giving it a good testing this spring with Lapua, Eley and SK. I also have a few cases of CCI SV, but hard jamming is going to be a problem.
I've got my torque settings at 25 in/lbs for now. I also tried Lapua Center X and I think it's going to like that when it warms up.
Thanks for showing us your results. I enjoyed that and looking forward to more.

Yes I still shoot it regularly. We have a cabin near Tweed and far from our closest neighbors so I shoot regularly. The Lilja barrel has not disappointed me but thinking about switching out the MDT LSS RF chassis for something different. I just removed my EE post for the chassis system and probably repost later in the spring summer time.

Creeping more of your posts, what borescope are you using? Looks fantastic, I just asked for options on rimfire central and most people suggested the teslong so I ordered one yesterday.
