I recently purchased this rifle and after installing an optic, I attempted to bore sight it using my Bushnell "Professional" boresighter, only to find that the .22 -27 cal. arbor would not fit in the barrel!!!
Anybody else have this issue?

CZ has a tighter bore than most 22s. See if you have a .20 arbor

CZ bores are made to CIP specs and are no tighter than any .22LR bores produced in other CIP member countries. Other CIP .22LR bores are found on Tikka and Bergara rifles, for example.

With regard to the bore sighting arbor, if it's .22" in diameter, it wouldn't fit any .22LR bore. To fit the CZ bore -- or any bore made to CIP specs -- the arbor diameter must be less than the CIP land diameter of 5.38mm or .2118". For SAAMI bores (those usually in North American-made .22LR firearms) , the size must be under 5.51mm or .2169".

Alternatives:
- old fashioned way of removing bolt, looking through the bore and adjusting scope to match what you see
- shoot big paper at 25m to get it roughly zeroed

Rest it on a set of bags, take the bolt out, look down the barrel, aim it a piece of paper, move scope turrets to paper... shot it, if its on paper adjust the turrets to the hole and shoot again.

My boresighter has 3 expandable arbors, that cover all cals to .45. I also have a Savage BVSS whose barrel won't accept the.22-27 cal arbor! On the same evening, I also bore sighted a Savage M-72 with no issues. I didn't know about CIP vs SAAMI specs so thank you for educating me! I suppose I could polish the arbor to where it will fit a CIP spec barrel......

So easy with rimfire, shoot dirt.

Back off your magnification , shoot dirt at 50 yd and dial your scope to the impact, couple shots like that then go to paper and fine tune.

Pulling the bolt works very well. It can get within just a few inches at 100 yards on a centerfire. Should be easy at 50 with a rimfire.
