CZ 457 nitride finish... how durable is it? Area 419 scope rail?

Just picked up a CZ 457 Pro Varmint and am considering the Area 419 scope rail for it. I prefer to use J&P delrin scope rail adapters on my CZ 452s to prevent any marks on the rail since the finish is pretty easy to scratch. I don't like the way the CZ or DIP rail attach with the screws mashing against the top of the receiver, and prefer the more solid side to side clamp of the Area 419 rail. Was curious if anyone who has mounted a rail or scope rings on their CZ 457's dovetail could tell me if it left any marks in the finish from sliding on a snug rail or from the clamping pressure.

Thanks

Which rail do you guys prefer between the Area 419 and the EGW?

No one had ANY damage to the finish? Wow, that's a relief. The nitride must be tough stuff, tougher than the matte finish that was on the 452. I'm not worried about the steel being gouged/deformed since any rail I use will be aluminum, it's leaving cosmetic marks in the finish I'm worried about.

verygoot, thanks for pointing that out. I didn't even consider the purpose of the cutaway on the Area 419.

I've not removed mine, so I wouldn't know about any damage. My brother has the area 419 30MOA and likes it, seems to be very nicely made. My EGW is the 20MOA, and I have no complaints about its construction either.

I had to figure out that rear cutaway thing for myself, I'm using vortex pro low rings and a Diamondback tactical 4-16 and the zoom ring is SO close with the scope in position for correct eye relief (for me). Any further forward and I'd need taller rings.
