Maybe a shameless plug but also first hand experience. I have a CZ 452 and a Tikka in the EE both in Boyds Pro Varmint stocks for a visual reference. While both good shooters the CZ is more accurate IMO than the Tikka for strictly bench shooting, but the Tikka action, 60 degree bolt, and trigger are great.
Both are great choices, I’m bias towards the CZ having never owned a tikka but I do have a 452 in a provarmint stock that’s incredibly accurate. The Boyd’s stock is a solid option available for most platforms. That being said main complaint is the limited aftermarket stock choices for the 452 and it’s much more complex if you want to put a aftermarket barrel on it.
The 457 has some great design improvements like the ability to change barrels yourself, the safety is no longer backwards (to North American standard) 60 deg bolt throw, self adjustable trigger, aftermarket stock availability from great company’s such as manners, MDT, MPA, etc...
That’s the route I’m currently taking. I just received this week my new CZ 457 precision trainer area 419 elite...
I’m super excited like a kid at Christmas!!
