Since Trigger Tech has no plans for a CZ 457 trigger replacement any time soon, my choices to replace the stock trigger seem to essentially be the Timney Trigger or the Yodave spring kit.

I've been going back and forth and can't make a decision. The Yodave kit is cheap as heck and lowers the trigger pull in half. The Timney is expensive but you can go sub-one pound on it.

For those of you who've tried both, or at least feel strongly about one of them, what would your rationale in choosing one over the other?

What’s your budget ? What’s the gun to be used for ? As you say Yo-Dave is so much cheaper so why not give it a whirl you can always upgrade.

You can bring down the trigger pull weight on both by almost the same, Timney will break very clean compared to factory trigger on Yodave spring, is it an improvement?, yes, worth the $300? Not sure

Money doesn't matter -- the rabbit hole of rimfire precision shooting demands to be filled by the God of Money. Mostly bench rest shooting but there is a chance for ORPS stuff next year.

Check this video out, it provides a good overview and I prefer the Timney over the Yo Dave.

I tried the curved Timney first but then switched to the flat trigger when they became available which I run on both of my 457’s.

Actually already caught that video -- PoA is a good channel.

Yeah, it was the Timney flat trigger that I was going to bite on if I was going to go that route.

Tested 20 times after installation with a Wheeler trigger pull scale, every sample was between 10 1/2 and 11 once.

I cut down a spring from a pen that was the diameter I wanted and can go from 1 to 2 lbs with ease. Best thing I did was install a Scar pivot pin……makes fitting the spring very easy.

The Yodave spring is great as mentioned earlier, can bring down the trigger weight same as the Timnney, the issue is the CZ trigger itself, it doesn’t break clean, that’s where sTimney shines. But both has the same trigger weight on mine

Flame suit on but...

I think Timney's are way over priced for what they are. In any platform.

I've added Yodave's to a couple guns and they are great.

Only complaint is I wish yodave would make springs for a lot more guns
