Cz 512.....Any good

The only negative thing about them is the trigger, and it will improve some the more you use it. They are accurate, excellent functioning, and feel like a full size rifle. You wont be disappointed.

Been reading mixed results on the web. Anyone here have experience with one in .22LR or .22WMR?

I waited for a long time to get one (WMR) because of the trigger reviews. Finally I got it this winter. I simply love that gun. Very innovative piece of engineering and scary accurate for an out of the box semi. My trigger came at about 4.5 lbs with noticeable creep. I polished it to bring it down to 3.8lb after about 500 rounds through it. It is not a target trigger by any means but much better than what I expected after reading about it (and significantly better than a 10-22 factory trigger). My 512 WMR averages about 1/2 in at 50 m with cheap 40 gr cci ammo, 3-9x40 Nikon, shooting of Caldwell bags. Last weekend I used a Harris bi-pod, shooting prone and it did 1in groupings at 75m consistently (light winds). I have never had FTE or FTF but I keep it clean. The barrel appears to be the same as on the 455 series but it seems to be pinned to the receiver in addition to the 2 screws that are used on 455s. If you are purchasing from a dealer, ask if they can measure the trigger for you prior to the purchase.

I have a .22WMR 512 also, the build quality is on a much higher level than any of my other rim fire semi auto's. It is very accurate as well. The only things I don't like are the trigger which is pretty stiff and the plastic bolt handle. The trigger appears to be getting better with use and I made a new bolt handle from steel. It has much better feel and grip and the action still cycles flawlessly.
