I think my 452 is lonely for family. I haven't shot a 512 yet, but it's on my short list. I am going to do some research myself.

I bought a 512 carbine in early spring chambered in 22 WMR. I've only been able to shoot it once and with the iron sights. My eyes are pretty crappers these days and I wear progressive lenses so I learned it makes it pretty difficult for me to use the irons. Adjusting my head I can focus on either the sights or the target but not both at the same time so it made for some pretty sloppy shooting at spinners 50 and 75yrds BUT the gun shot flawlessly with the 4 different types of ammo I put through it. Picked up a Burris 2-7x35 and some tally rings so once I get that mounted I'll have a better idea of accuracy. Besides all that I can say I love the gun and pretty sure it'll become my favorite walkin' around the woods gun. If you pick one up there's a member here that makes really nice charging handles machined aluminum or stainless or blue metal to replace the plastic one that comes with the 512. I picked up the aluminum one and it looks mint.
