Is anyone shooting one? What do you think? Is it worth the $$?

I have a number of CZ already (including a 581) but am thinking of getting one of these. Do you have one and what do you think?

Suggestions welcome. Thanks

The trigger-guard just rubs me the wrong way. Other than that, it's a pretty sleek looking rifle IMO.

CZ are the best buy overall no rimfire cant shot as tight as a 453 set trigger for the price it is not a custom rifle but very near in accuracy... JP.

I have one but bought it used, that made the price well worth it.

It's accurate, but the trigger has creep and is heavy although it can be improved somewhat.

I've been eying the 512 a well and so far everything I have read on Rimfirecentral.com has been positive and echos what Houndog is saying. The only thing I haven't read is anything about the 512's reliablilty as a semi-auto.

Houndog, have you found the 512 to feed reliably with a variety of ammo? It sure seems to have amazing accuracy in spite of its so-so trigger. If it is as reliable as it is accurate, I'll be picking one up this weekend!

nice groups Houndog. What is it like @ 50 yds?

CD what is it you do not like about trigger group? I'll have to look closer?

Price is around $530 plus taxes, a bit steep..... but!!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you see them for $530? I've seen them as high as $600 at some dealers but I wouldn't mind paying a little less. :D

It jammed loading a couple of times with Win 333's, no FTF's or FTE's though. I mostly used solid points which had no problems, it needs more testing with a hunting round...

At 50 yards it shot well.

All targets shot with Bushnell XLT 4-12X

50 Yards 4 shot groups

50 Yards 5 shot groups

25 YardsUpon closer inspection all 25 tacks were 'driven'

Thanks for that. I mainly plan to use it for critter killin', so I am very interested to hear how it performs with HP ammo. I may have to buy one and find out for myself!

Wow nice groups and good shooting Houndog,

krausb guess I was mistaken on the price. Story of my life. I was travelling today but when I called to confirm was quoted $570. I was sure when I was in the store I was told $530 (but am not positive). Oh well what is $40.

Hope to be able to p/u Friday, work pending.

Gale force winds out here this week.

Thanks lpel! FWIW, Wholesale Sports has them in for $549, as do a couple of the CGN sponsors. WSS is just a few blocks away form my work, so I'll probably grab one after work tomorrow.

Good luck fighting that wind!
