Yaaar maties!

I've sailed the internet looking for a bolt action 22lr shooting treasure! YAAAR!:D

No seriously guys I was looking for a bolt action 22 lr rifle. As i was looking I came on the model CZ 513 Farmer which is supose to be a cheeper version of the CZ 452. What is the difference between the two (except for the huge price gap) and is it worth the price?

I need your wisdom on those two and enlight my quest for that treasure!

well the only thing different would be the sights and the wood stock. on the 452 the sights i are a little bit better and they are ajustible. also on the 452 the wood stock is a little nicer with checkering. every thing else is the same. so if your going to put a scope on it and dont really use the sights and dont mide a rattier looking stock go with the farmer. no need to spend the extra money unless you want to. i would choose the 452 over the farmer and day, because i use the irons 100% of the time.

The trigger is diffren't, the stock, the sights. Other then that they are almost the same I've seen both side by side and they can be hard to tell apart. The stock is europeain style the farmer is more traditional stock

I really like the 452, is there any reason to choose a 452 over a 455, the combo barrel is a slick idea.

Sorry to hijack I was looking at the 513 farmer too but for from what I am hearing here its 452 over 513 for this guy.

The 455 is starting to develop an aftermarket barrel following, now all we need is a REALLY good trigger assembly and the option of buying just the action.
Some reports I've seen have said the 455 is easier to get shooting consistently then a 452 with lug.

The 455 i picked up has a Timney on it and it is good. Go to Rimfirecentral for the most info in one place on CZ rifles. My understanding was that the 452 and the 513 had the same action different trigger and stock, but i was wrong once before. I would not hesitate to buy a 513 if the price was right.

i have a 452 and a 513. the 513 is beech wood and the trigger is leaf style. with work my triger came out nice. not as nice as after the yodave in my 452. buckhorn open sights work fine for hunting. same action and barrel. mine prints 1/2" and 50yrds. very good guns indeed. they get over looked alot.
