Hello guys,

I have 4 CZ52 service pistols that I received in a partial trade from a while back and I love the pistol. They all have "rid" marked on the frame and are in the original gray finish. Do you know by any chance what this "rid" marking indicates?

I know I should probably do my own research and I'll find some material on it but I also value the opinion of the more experienced users of this forum so I thought I'd ask. I might also sell 3 of them to fun another upcoming project so if you are interested let me know. I have no idea how much they are worth here as they are not very common.

Much regards,

Kevin

I like my 52 as well. One thing I have learned is that the small punch marks on top of the slide, behind the front sight, indicate trips to the armorer.

I believe I bought mine for around $450 - 500 at Wanstalls: couldn't say 'no' to my bucket list's CZ "tokarev" gun. Nothing spells contempt quite like the Czech's derision to Soviet designs.

Sold my cz52 on EE two years ago for 350$, now I have seller remorse.
