Hi, I've got a new 2018 CZ 527 762 carbine. I've run about 200 rounds thru it so far, Barnaul non-corrosive only.
While cleaning it after a range session (only place I shoot it), I noticed a faint, straight line running from the bottom of the bolt-face to the firing pin hole. There are no other marks on it.
Now....I'm wondering, is this a crack or a scratch? ( sorry no pics, not computer literate enuff ).
There is no corresponding line/scratch on the body of the bolt, ie from the bolt-face to the ejector-claw channel.
As this is a "Mauser style" action the shell snaps straight up into the boltface for controlled feed after being stripped from the magazine. Would grit or some other contaminant riding on the base of the cartridge be able to etch the bolt-face? As I said it's a very faint line.
The rifle is under warranty and I have no concerns about the warranty support, I'd would just rather not waste people's time shipping this thing halfway across the country for a cosmetic issue.

I appreciate any and all input folks. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
