cz 527 in 7.62x39mm?

Would be a shame to run corrosive ammo thru such a fine quality firearm. If you want to load up some modern ammo, go for it. The 527s are great guns

I shot Surplus ammo threw the gun I bought my Nephew, with no trouble , other than one round that would not let the bolt handle close, was accurrate as any hunting load I tryed, just need to clean the barrel after your done shooting at the range, others I now did not have the luck I had with my nephews little gun with surplus. Sure taught my 12 year old nephew how to hold positions at an affordable price point in a centre fire rifle with minimal kick. We got 1" to typlical 1.5" with surplus and 1" with factory Privi hunting loads. Did not have time to test my hand loads as the season was late when my dies finally arrived. Dale Z!

Ps very nice gun to carry in the bush, had a Redfield 2x7 mounted in BRNO medium rings, open sights were not the greatest, there military mauser type sight they put on there 22's would be a great addition to this carbine!

My wife has one and finds it light, easy to handle and has a nice trigger. Shoots surplus 2 MOA and factory hunting ammo 1 MOA. Very accurate with any ammo actually. It's her gun now and she won't let me touch it. ;)

Just add some hot water after shooting corrosive and clean normally. Not a speck of rust anywhere in 3 yrs yet.

I have one and its a good rifle, so good infact that I want more. I also am looking at getting one rebarrelled into the Grendell.
I use handloads as there isnt any factory soft point available here that makes deer legal!
I have fire eastern bloc surplus but it gets a good clean when I am skint enough to play with that stuff!

Awesome rifle. Not sure why they aren't more popular? Being able to shoot surplus ammo is a huge plus, darn near shooting at 22lr prices, just clean it after shooting.

the cz527 shoots any ammo with precision. My GF has one and its shoots sub MOA with PRVI. It shoots surplus ammo ok, but you will have extra wear on the extractor from the steel cases. Its not a big deal to change out, but it does wear faster than using brass ammo.

I'm not overly convinced of the need for switch barrels, its almost as if its a rich boys toy in search of a need. That said I have bought in Blasers and priced a Mauser M03 for clients!
I was at Holts auction last month when the 2 Hartmann & Weiss cased switch barrel sets went through each achieving phenominal figures of £55000 and £231000 each!

Here is the finished conveersion, shoots well; http://bashingbambi.########.com/2012/03/testing-65-grendel.html
