I have a CZ527 in .204 Ruger that has a bit more recoil than I'd like. I'm looking for ways to reduce the recoil, even just a bit, so that I can more easily see my hits. I know about muzzle brakes (noisy, expensive) and mercury tubes. Is there any other way to reduce the muzzle jump?

The only way I can think of is load with less powder. I have used Win 748 for the loads in my Varmint 527, 32 gr Vmax and 26gr barnes grenade. You could try using your scope at the smallest power, give you a wider field of view. FS
Fassteel. My gun shoots best with mear max loads and I'd prefer to keep the accuracy. Let me know if you are looking for more of those varmint grenades as I have many 100s that I was going to list on the EE.

Duct tape weight to the fore end. I would think hanging weight would work like a pendulum and throw everything off. Maybe look for a non toxic metal like a bag of bismuth shot if you can find it. You don't want the lead to leech out especially when it gets wet and runs on your hands.
Are you serious? I have a CZ527 in .204 Ruger, and although the rifle is very light (under 6 lbs naked), the recoil is virtually nil. I have zero trouble spotting hits. I have to wonder whether you are experiencing true recoil or whether you might have developed a flinch.
I have the American topped with a 6-24x Elite 4200. I would think it should be heavy enough not to jump.
CV32: I do not have a flinch. I just find that the barrel jumps up just enough for me to lose sight of the target. This was also true when I was using a 14x scope.

Add a bi-pod to the gun for weight and choose a scope that you can use at 3x power
I only use reloads. Currently shooting 39g Blitzkings and Benchmark at just below the max load. This is by far my best load.
I'd rather not take Sweetnesses advice and use a 3x scope as gophers get tiny real quick out past 100 yards. The bipod idea is good though. I usually shoot off either a 9" Harris while prone or some shooting sticks while sitting.

How about a different shooting position / hold - i.e.
- left arm underneath, bend, hand on stock and holding it firm into shoulder;
- leaning into rifle with it pushed forward into bipod to take up all slack and have it firmly in shoulder pocket; or,
- left arm underneath fore-end holding sling.
