Cz 527 ring height??? Update

I have medium Leupolds on mine with a Vortex 2-7x (it fits just to the back of the rear sight, clear of the scope but I can only put removable covers on the scope)
I find this match pretty perfect for the rifle to use and sight, a 1.25x4 would be a primo option too. Its a fantastic rifle to carry around for Deer....unfortunately the deer are so afraid of this rifle when I carry it that I have yet to see one while I am out with it.

Your issue will be bolt to scope clearance when cycling the action. Medium will work, but I went with high on a 30 mm scope tube, 44 mm objective.
I'm using Leupold medium rings (1") and it works good but the eye piece to bolt clearance is quite small. You could go with high rings to get more eye piece clearance but the low comb height would make it difficult to get a good sight picture and cheek weld at the same time.
Did you find a place to buy 30mm rings?

Looks great! The VX-R Patrol looks like a great scope for your setup.
