As some of you may have gathered I'm looking at getting a CZ 527 in .22Hornet. I have a concern about going with the high rings as this won't be comfortable for me. I won't be taking shots past 200 yards and for the most part 100 yards or less. I was considering a 2x7 (32mm) scope. If I understand the problem correctly if the rings aren't high enoungh the bolt will hit the eye piece of the scope. So will a smaller scope help with this problem or am I stuck with the high rings no matter what I do? Should I be considering a different scope? If scope size really won't matter I may go with the Elite3200 3x10 (40mm).

I think you're stuck with that ring height, due to bolt/eye piece clearance issues. Ive been using the factory supplied rings but someday will switch to the Talleys for the sleeker look

Why don't you :
1) Have the bolt handle bent, they're not silver soldered to the Bolt body like Remington
2) Go to James Calhoon's site--they offer modified handles on exchange basis

No need to suffer with the High scope mounting:eek:
