Am considering one of these 2 rifles , CZ is a 1-9 Tikka 1-8. I want a rifle to shoot the heavier .22 cal bullets.
Looking for input from shooters of both rifles. Read lots of good reports on the Tikka but nothing on the
CZ's performance.
Thanks.

I have two Tikkas in .223. One loves 69gr SMKs while the other loves 80gr VLDs. I haven't had the chance to play with too many CZs but if I remember correctly, the CZ uses a Mauser style action which I find to be little clattery / sloppy. The T3 bolts are some of the nicest and smoothest out there. I would also argue that the Tikka have more aftermarket support than the CZs.

The CZ is a fantastic rifle with a dead tough action, those mausers are a bit scratchy initially they smoothen out over time. That being said for heavier bullets the tikka has the better rifling for it. Both IIRC are CHF barrels. My problem with the cz is the wood stock, I like composite stocks because they don't get affected by moisture and temperature changes. Tikka gets a plus point there as well. Triggers, man I love both, so I will tie the two.

For your application I would look for either a 1 in 8 twist or 1 in 7 twist. They are better for heavier bullets.
