CZ 550 American safari

Thanks for all of the compliments guys, definitely feel like I have an heirloom grade rifle now. Makes a lot of the guns in my safe looking pointless now, haha. Looking forward to playing with loads just need to find a good brand/source of brass other than factory ammo to get a good inventory going.

I love my 550 375 H&H. Accurate, smooth, and not overly heavy in my opinion. I've easily carried it all day on moose hunts. No scope on mine either, just the factory irons which are good enough for me to shoot 2" groups at 100m.

Your's looks like a beauty! Much nicer wood than mine.

Congratulations I knew you would love it but I might suggest investing in a Redding neck sizing die and o add life to your brass. I found that full length sizing would only get me 5 or 6 loadings and neck sizing doubles that.

I'll look in to that. For now I will just back off the die a bit to size the neck, see how that goes.

In circumstances that require a .375, reliable cycling trumps case life, so I'd be inclined to save neck sizing for less demanding applications. If you utilize full power loads, your primer pockets will be the first thing to go anyway, so full length sizing has little effect on case life.
