50 caliber nice! 525gr at 2300 fps. Bullet speed and weight aren't that much different than my 458 Lott. However the bullets have (505/458)^2 = 1.21, or 21% more cross-sectional area.

A couple hundred foot pounds doesn't really amount to very much at heavy-rifle-gunfighting-ranges. The Gibbs was around longer so it naturally had a head start and thus a little extra panache.

I did get the 527FS from Wolverine. I bought it on layaway. Started in Nov.
