CZ 550 Lux

Dist. and dealers do not have the luxury of being able to adjust pricing just because our dollar is now stronger. All inventories that any dist. has or any dealer has is based on what the dollar was doing last year at this time. FS

Hi

The real currency issue is that the Czech Crown has been doing a bit better than the Euro recently. Ultimately that's going to run up the price of CZ's in Canada and even more in the US. If you want to save some money, get one now ....

Just to clarify, for myself the reason I am cruising these sites if because I am thinking of going from a Ruger No 1b 223 to a leftie bolt which I was not aware of at time of purchase. I am actually looking at the CZ527 223 as a replacement in a leftie bolt with a DM. Seems like just about everything else is hundreds cheaper than the CZ incl Rem, and Browning. And then there is the Tikka T3 lite...Then again that will also depend on availablilty:)....

I follow the logic and good for the dealers if they can make the general public swallow it, but the fact is that what you paid for something does not determine its value. I'm not picking up the tab for someone else's poor business decision (unless, of course, I really want it and the current market supports the asking price).

Hi

Ruger is a fine company. I used to live one town over from their headquarters. They were tough competition when it came to fighting over good machinists.

I have owned a several Rugers. Then have all been beautiful rifles. None of them have ever had a malfunction. They all have been marginal in terms of accuracy. I don't think that Ruger knows how to make barrels ...
