I was hoping this would be an informative thread! Haha. There is one on the ee right now, but haven't heard much about them.
Just try one. Don't know if the problem has been fixed in recent rifles but I've seen two that did this. One was marked 15 and the other 16 so one is a recent model for this year. If you push down on the bolt while cycling quickly it doesn't affect anything but if you try to cycle it quickly normally.... That is probably why the Canadian Rangers picked the Tikka over the CZ. I'm a major fan of CZ but the 557 has left me with disappointment. Especially since it looks like they're discontinuing the 550.

So what happens if you cycle it normally i dont have one to try.
It binds in the action. The bolt is so loosely fitted that if you go to quickly to cycle the bolt, the back of the bolt tilts upward and then binds in the action. If you press down on the bolt, you won't have an issue and it also doesn't take much down pressure to stop it. With that its not hard to live with it. But many things they changed from the 550 to the 557 and even promised they wouldn't discontinue the 550 yet now they're slowly discontinuing the 550 models and replacing them with the 557. Total piss off, the 550 is a much better gun. But I can also understand that the cost of the 550 now would be that of a Sako which would make it very hard for CZ to compete. They are high quality components on both the 550 and 557 but I just can take loosing the set trigger, Mauser action, 3rd locking lug, and adjustable elevation and windage rear sight. I will be getting a Sako Bavarian next time instead of the 557.
On the CZ site the 550 seems to be only available in the magnums, also the 557 is not available in the 9.3x62 so if you want a 9.3x62 CZ you are SOL
