Cz 557 stock size question

A friend of mine wants to buy a cz 557 synthetic in 308 with the 20.5 inch barrel and put it in a Boyd stock. He wanted me to ask which stock model at boyds is the right one. Carbine, sporter or American. Thank you in advance for what is likely a silly question

Not silly, complicated actually...
He will have to measure the action screw holes, because CZ made these 308 557's in 2 action lengths.

It's a good question. As per Hitzy, he needs to determine whether it's the short action 308/243 or the regular length action, which, among other calibres, was also chambered in 308/243. I have an example of both. BTW, Wolverine also carries factory OEM stocks.
