CZ 585 question

Does anybody know if the top forestock piece of wood (over gas piston)can be seperated from the heat shield without destroying either

yup remove the guard from rifle


keep the lock pin out hold on to the metal useing the lock pin to prevent turning rotate the handguard 180 degress it will pull out. there is a metal clip in the middle to keep it there if the guard is wood you may crack it durning removal (at least i did with the ak47)
