Hello,

I am considering getting CZ 600 alpha model(synthetic stock) in 30-06.

I, had a chance to handle it in a store but does anyone have experience from the range or field? How accurate is it? Which bullets does it like and so on.

Brand new from a store is $930.

Thanks,

Update: bought my first CZ 600 alpha. What a rifle! I am very pleasantly surprised how good of a rifle it is!

First, when you take it in your hands, it feels like a rifle supposed to feel, none of this cheap plasticky toy gun feeling.

Second, this rifle is thought out well. The bolt is smooth and with its 60 degree rotation, does not affect the scope. Bolt is easy to take out and very easy to disassemble for detailed cleaning.

Trigger adjustment is super easy. By the trigger you have a “dial” that you adjust your trigger with a provided allen/hex key to one of four positions. 1 being the lightest and 4 the heaviest. I, set mine to 2 and it is very, verrrrry crisp. Headed to my range from the store lol I only shot 9 rounds to semi condition the barrel and to adjust my scope. It shoots really nice, recoil is comfortable and if I decide to put a muzzle brake, it will be even more comfortable.

The magazine goes in smooth and without any BS. There is also an option to lock in the magazine using the mag release button by sliding it forward, and that locks in the mag. Now you can load from the top. This seems maybe not that big of a deal, but I like this option…prevents the mag from falling out by accident.

Again, very happy with this purchase and I will probably do more updates in the future.

Old post, but I wanted to know what your thoughts are on the rifle after over a year with it?
I handled one in the store and loved the feel of it! Length of pull was great, I loved the soft touch feel of the stock, adjustable trigger was awesome, and loved the locking mag feature to top load the magazine.
It would be a 30-06 as well for hunting.

Had a Lux for 10 rounds, wasn't a fan of the design, firing pin is dinky as hell, extractor spring is just a short piece of wire, and even with 6 lugs, the actual engagement surface is considerably less then a conventional 2 lug bolt, maybe 1/3 of those little lugs makes contact.
Didn't give me warm fuzzies.
