CZ 600 thoughts?

Older CZs and Brnos are great rifles. These likely are also; but with all the new technology, it is too soon to tell how it is going to stand up in use. 4 setting trigger, vertical safety, magazine lock all look like they may be prone to dirt, and the longevity has yet to be proven.

Don't get me wrong, I love the features and the new design; just a bit slow to jump on the band-wagon with new technology.
I have to agree, lots of little details that are maybe not needed and could go wrong in field situations!

Thompson had a similar switch barrel rifle on the market in the last decade, didn't really take off, it was pretty ugly, but the whole concept just isn't that appealing to the vast majority, it was also pretty cheap by comparison to these, so I don't know how well this is going to be received.

CZ600 Trail for 223 is 6.1 lbs
Barrel 16.2 inch
Overall length 27 - 35 inch

Interesting. A little bit heavier than I expected. I guess being compact is nice though, and seems superior to the other options trying to hit this form factor, particularly with a controlled feed 60 degree bolt.

A .300 blackout with a 11-12" barrel (just the length of the handguard) would be pretty cool too, but I guess it would come under 26" and would have to be restricted, what with that collapsing stock.

Regardless, this action has my attention. Very cool.

For those curious about chambering that are initially offered

Would be nice to have the lux in 6.5x55 and the trail in a longer action for .308 or 6.5cm, but I guess can’t have everything all at once

This is a cool novel design, nice to see something new and fresh.

I like the ergo, stock looks like a poor man’s blaser professional

Will be interesting to see MSRP

I'd also take a Lux in 8x57 (or 308 in med action) to compliment my 557 Lux in 8x57. Bummer that the Trail won't be available in 7.63x39 in Canada.

I do understand why Alpha has junk stock, ok fine entry model. But why a model called Ergo has no adjustable cheek or length of pull or grip inserts?

I can see the aftermarket catering to niche needs. I think it's really cool to swap barrels within the calibre groups without having to buy a complete rifle. Spare barrels will likely be available.

Looks like I have a couple of months to scrape up the cash for an 8x57 ergo.

This style of stock seems very popular with the young Euro hunters on Instagram etc

Really interested to see how this new style of plunger ejector functions

Would be cool to see it in some other AR calibers

I thought they missed the boat by not releasing “ big bore” CZ 527 in 450 BM etc

trail looks interesting. not sure about the glass reinforced polymer chassis or the 1-2 moa accuracy guarantee.

Also wondering about the safety on all the 600 models. it looks like you push down from the top to move it to the fire position and push it up fro the bottom to put it on safe. is this right? seems like a bad idea and would create a week spot in the grip area of the stock.
