Hell, my 7.62x39 Ruger American Ranch will shoot Czech surplus into 1 1/2" at 100m when I do my part.

There u go. That's what some will settle for today. A carbine in varmint cartridge but accuracy equal to a deer rifle. That's a high standard for some only because it looks cool. COD generation.

I like the concept. And I really like the collapsible stock and OAL. I don't understand why this wouldn't be able to achieve better than average 2 MOA. There has to be a reason that I just don't understand yet. I'll have to delve into how these are built a bit more I guess. Something like this is a niche firearm and won't work for everyone. But I think it'd be a cool camp gun or something nice to pack if you're hiker. This one warrants further investigation from me anyway.

I think it has a lot to do with that collapsing stock myself. Polymers and aluminum keep the weight down. There is varying degrees of acceptable aluminum alloys that could be up to the task. Such as the aluminum receiver alloy used in Colt AR rifles and carbines.
I suggest this Trail carbine does not have the best grade of aluminum alloy at the critical hinge point.
If strength and stiffness was not a concern then why not chamber it in 308?

Its a mini action, it'd would need to be bigger for a 308. But i guess that leaves it open to the other ar-15 types of cartridges, 7.62x39, 6.5 grendel, 300 blackout, etc etc
That sort of wire stock with the tiny cheek piece does not make sense on this sort of rifle, with a 16" tube. This is not a SMG.
I suspect they have 16" bbl for the US market. They should just make a 12.5" ( in the US people will suppress it) and import it to the US as a pistol, so people can put on a brace or in Canada people can put on a proper folding or collapsable AR stock that has cheek piece. ( probably need a 0.5 or 0.75 cheek rise by the look of it)

I built something similar out of a Ruger American Ranch in 6.5 Grendel and MDT LSS-XL Gen2 Chassis. Mine is about 7 1/4 lbs all up before rings/optics though so this wins on weight. Mine also shoots about 3/4 - 1 moa for 3 shot groups out to 500 yards with factory Hornady Black ammo. I run Strike Industries buffer tube, Magpul CTR stock, Magpul Moe-K grip, I ditched the factory rail for 1" Talley Lightweight low rings and I'm running Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 green dot duplex with Kenton Ind. speed dial turret for the dial ups. Fully scoped without sling is 8 1/4 lbs. Which is beauty for weight as the kids are slaying with this thing, it fits anyone, and anyone can shoot it well and it's big game legal...we have 8 head of big game on ours now. If you put some red/blue loctite on the castle nut it remains fixed on the buffer tube so you can spin the butt stock on and off to same position for packing in and out and overall length is 26 1/4" without butt stock so still legal length. Not as slick or as light as the CZ but accuracy is outstanding, we use the c-products 10 round 7.62x39 pistol mags and otherwise CZ would have nailed it if they could give it a 1 MOA guarantee and offer it in 6.5 Grendel. I suspect they will shoot better than they advertise however. I could build that CZ up to basically what I have but be 1 lb lighter but I won't shoot anything but 6.5 Grendel that will do at least MOA average for 3 shot groups in field conditions. Will be fun to watch the reports and also see if the 6.5 Grendel comes available should they prove more accurate than they are suggesting.
It would appear CZ was definitely paying attention to the market and thinking well ahead in this redesign! Well done CZ, two thumbs up here. Now build that Trail in the 6.5 Grendel and give it a 1 MOA rating and you'll be able to hit 'ALL' the hunters (not just some bush hunters). You'll want 1 MOA or less for the .223 to catch the predator hunters as well.

With several in the 600 line up claiming factory guaranteed as Sub-MOA, I'd be surprised if this does much worse with appropriately accurate ammo.
I like this backpacker / truck gun concept, but I really like the whole range of rifles in the series they have created - something for everyone.

Yes, for sure, Cross is one level above. But CZ 600 is 3 action lengths and way more calibers than Cross as of now. CZ 600 also appears to be priced cheaper and replaces 3 lines of CZ into a new single unified one, such that there is a wide array of options, lengths stocks and probably will have significant aftermarket support. Cross on the other hand is more narrow, take it or leave package.
The barrel is heald on by torx screws. I honestly don't find this appealing in a hunting or range rifle meant for ultimate accuracy. I get the market they are going for but I feel they are just trading one type of customer for another type.
if it takes AR mags then the 10 round pistol mags should be a go
first main hiccup I'm seeing is the cheek piece, it's too far rearward on the rail, aftermarket will have to come up with a relocation kit or new on that can be mounted further forward
other thing I can't find is the LOP stop points, when you do a chassis build and use a typical 6-7 position buffer tube you can fit anyone easily, kids to adults and it's part of the draw for me as a parent having rifles that can fit anyone, this would be something I'd look for in this cz model but that cheek piece is down under shooters ears in the videos, not even close to the cheek, I'm sure it will be fixed via aftermarket quickly
