Or... is there someone on this boards that has used this pistol, and what impressions did you get?

You can probably count the amount of the Champions in Canada on one hand.Discontinued 4-5 years ago IIRC. From what i heard they are a really nice pistol to shoot.
The new version of Cz's open pistol is the Checkmate wich is a beauty and i think it is around 3k. Are you asking because you know someone that wants to sell one?

I think that Champion was between $1500 and $1700, when it was available.

If it was discontinued 5 years ago, it will be slim pickings.
 
It was really slim pickings 5 years ago. I tried to get one from every avenue i could think of. That in itself has turned me off CZ, plus trying to get extra kadet mags has got me to the point of selling my Kadet. Not very happy with CZ in general. Great guns, not such a great company.
