Just to be clear, I have not accused them of anything. I don't know much about them, but I see a lot of positive comments on these forums.

I sent them an email with the pictures today. I believe that they have a 14 day exchange or return policy and I received the gun 12 days ago. I took me a while to deal with this because I have been really busy with work.

We will see if they are willing to help me out...

Doesn't look like holster wear to me. You usually see that on the edges near the front of the pistol, and any corners of the gun that contact the holster. To have a big patch on the frame, that doesnt extend to the muzzle, doesn't make sense. I'd say its a QC issue.

This is holster wear:

Just a quick update. Nick at Reliable Gun got back to me right away and said that the condition of the gun is unacceptable and they would send it back to CZ. They refunded my money and they will honour the price that I purchased it at when the new shipment arrives.

There were also a couple dings in the frame that were deep enough to expose the metal (image).

It sucks that CZ's QC failed in this case, but I will definitely be purchasing from Reliable Gun again.

Nice! Glad to hear a positive resolution for once. All we ever hear is about people being told to put up with problems even though they would be completely unacceptable in any other industry. Good on reliable for taking care of you. They're on my list now when it's time to go shopping next.

So it looks like it will cost Reliable a little bit of money (shipping & handling plus any increase in the cost), but for that little bit of expenditure, look at the great PR they are getting on this forum. It seems that Customer Service is so poor in general these days, that when a company does demonstrate good Customer Service, they will definitely reap the benefits.

Well done Reliable. Keep it up. And congrats Purple on a satisfactory resolution.

The few dealings I have had with Reliable went very smoothly- I'm not surprised they took care of you.

I will, however, admit I'm surprised the factory let that one slip through. Every CZ I've owned has been perfect right out of the box.

Give the guys a call at Reliable, they might be able to do something for you.
In the right light I can see what you are talking about, and it would annoy me too, but as others have mentioned, typically cosmetic issues aren't covered by warranty. They are service pistols.

You should read my last reply on the previous page...

Cool, not surprised they are doing good by you. With the number of guns CZ is pushing out it's not really a surprise that the odd one escapes that shouldn't have. Happens with all gun manufacturers.
