Shopping for my first pistol
Love the 1911 but thought 9mm might be better for the first one
Any thoughts good/ bad gun / piece of crap
Thanks :dancingbanana:

My first pistol was a CZ 75B and I have no regrets about choosing it. A 22 would be less expensive to shoot, but 9mm isn't overly pricey. CZs have a good reputation as being good value for the money.

Love mine (CZ75, likely from the mid 80s). Got it used in the summer and have not had any problems. Ergonomic design, nice trigger, shoots great. Had wanted one for a long time after seeing an older one with wooden grips that a friend had. Very pleased so far and likely will never part with it.

There is always the option to get a 1911 in 9mm, but CZ is a good choice too.:)

Excellent choice. I have an old CZ 85 with the smoothest D/A trigger you can imagine. Check with Freedom Ventures on the Combat Sport. Personally I think the Tanfoglios are finished off just a bit nicer and come with adjustable sights. Same design with a few extras priced the same.

Take Care

I have an older CZ85 and although it wasn't my first pistol, it was my first center fire pistol. I still have it, still shoot it and I still like it. The only part I ever added was a new recoil spring.

yeah my first pistol was a CZ85. Decent gun, I wish I hadnt of sold it years ago.

I got a CZ75 Kadet is on the way, factory built not a kit, with all matching
serial # ....... damn ATT is taking too long already ....

Get a CZ85 Combat if you want a 9mm. It has adjustable sites and full ambli-safety & slide release. And it's cheaper than the Tanfoglio clones!

Can't go wrong with a high quaility 1911 if you have your heart set on a .45ACP also.
