I am looking into buying the P-07 Duty and would like to hear from people who already own one. How do you like them? and how do they compare to other 9mm you have tried? Any info would be great. Thanks.

PS. My only 9mm at the moment is an M213 so I am sure I wont be disappointed

Its one of my favorite pistols, dead accurate, fantastic grips, and kicks like a 45 :dancingbanana:

I only handled one, I thought it was ok but I didn't want the grips - too smooth for me, and plastic sights looked pretty cheap.

no but it wouldn't cost them any more to texturize the frame, I like what S&W did to M&P - it's not rough but doesn't feel slippery.

There was one at DVC for rent and I really wanted to try it...

For a range rental gun that has seen countless abuse and thousands of rounds, I had 8/10 rounds touching in 1 hole at 10yards first try ever with it 2 flyers 1/2 inch off the group, 115g winnie white box. It was very accurate to me I was surprised!

Thought it was comfortable, worked like a cz75 so thats a plus, and personally I enjoy the esthetic of this gun alot. Its probably on my next to-buy list for a mid-size.

The odd thing is I hear most come with manual safety only in canada and there is a quick swap for the decocker. Some people have NOT received the decocker in Canada, some have...I would inquire if you are buying it. The one I tried had the manual safety alone......but regardless of what any safety nazis say I personally enjoy the thumb on the hammer decock ;)

I hear people say it kicks a bit high for a 9 due to design but I really did not notice this and its in no way near a .45 if you ask me.

Yes there are others...but not many in that size category with these options. Its a mid-size not full size like the 75/85, which appeals to me.

P229? Hk? Double the price!

the striker fired hammerless mids that are flooding the market aren't something that everyone wants either....I like having an exposed hammer to play with. Personal preference.

Chuck, I've shot that same gun but without your results. You must have younger eyes and steadier muscles than me.... But then at my age many do :D

When it first arrived it had a terrible trigger feel but with some use it's smoothed out to a fine shooting tool. I'm still not crazy about it due to the light weight which kicks more than my Shadow and old original CZ75. But I feel the same about most plastic guns that are light in weight.

I also found the grips to be too rough. I know this is contrary to what IM Lugger says but I found the DVC one to be super sharp on the texturing to the point that I found it uncomfortable. If I were to get one I'd soon be polishing off the tips of the texturing with some 600 grit wetordry sandpaper.

I was so impressed that I kept the target and theres another member here who was with me who can vouch for it...I have about 4 other targets I shot with that gun that all grouped extremely well for me too. My eyes really aren't that great at all, borderline requiring glasses in my right eye according to my other friend, who is an optometrist...and I'm right eye dominant. Drives me crazy sometimes trying to shoot finicky sights such as K98's...they just sort of blur into oblivion. That fact and how nice my groups were with the p07 are what impressed me.

I guess its just that way with certain guns, gotta try them all out and to each their own. Some suit some people better than others...

The recoil is more than an all metal 9...but still not a .45 by any means I think...but like you mentioned its the same with most poly mid sized guns compared to a full size all steel 75 for example.

After the P07 I tried, I tried the .45 USP and my groups were easily double the p07 even at just 10 yards...and I actually found it LESS ergonomically comfortable to me than the p07. I've read a few reviews from people who really dislike the grip on the p07 etc etc. Personally, I found it nice!

I just sent my order in. I liked the way the polymers I have tried shoot. I didnt get a chance to shoot the P-07 but I did like the shadow BC Rider let me shoot. If the P-07 is anything like its metal cousin but in polymer I will be happy.

I was in the store today fondling the p07 again along with a slew of others...

I have to say this gun fits in the hand much nicer than even the HK and SIGS I was trying. It just feels good.

Should have it by next week....interesting though is it only came in manual safety, but then again, I don't mind the thumb decock at all.

It is alot lighter than its all metal cz cousins...but thats the whole point of this poly gun.

We'll probably receive it around the same time wretch...

Well if a shadow is $619, can I interest you in a car lol? That's like saying this toyota echo is nice but there are many better things, if it has to be a toyota you should buy the Lexus LS460.

There are better guns in that price range. If it has to be a CZ - look at either 85 Combat or SP-01/ Shadow.

I ordered mine from Ellwood Epps where did you order yours from? As for when it arrives I guess it depends when the transfer goes through. Hoping for this week but most likely early next week. Congrats on your purchase by the way.

Did anyone find out if there are extra mags available for these yet?

How's the reliability? Anybody have 500-1000 rounds down theirs yet?

I'm considering one of these as a future purchase, but thatextended barrel just irks me for some reason. Stupid laws.

About 700 rounds 0 failures of any kind.

Yep me too. Just ordered a stainless guide rod for it today too to add some more weight up front and reduce the recoil a bit, will see how that works out...

Is it just me or do I LIKE the little extended barrel look...

Not only on the p07 but also on Canadianized P228's etc etc...
