as topic states.
I have read reviews and have heard of the M&P gritty trigger and the P07's awesome trigger.
Thats pretty much all i see though.

Any input on which you would pick and why would be awesome

thanks

I would take the CZ ANY day of the week ove the M & P.

Although others may disagree - the CZ is just a quality made firearm, completely different league of workmanship.

all i can say after having bought and used both style of weapon..its all about craftmanship and europe has been making guns long before we were here and there quality is far more advance than we are.. but we are not far behind..american producers of weapons needs to pick up on quality control...they have great ideas but needs to refine there production line...its not quantity..its quality

I've seen two CZ's crack the slide in the last year <10k rounds

Frankly I think the M&P is a better gun, over the long haul. The trigger can be poor to good at the beginning - but cleans up like a Glock trigger when you get some rounds on it.

That said I live in an M&P household - we have 7 ;)

Sadly banned in Canada due to the extremely dangerous barrel length

The M&P feels better to me, and has in my experience been as reliable as a mechanical device can be. Additionally, the M&P has a single trigger pull, the CZ is DA/SA, and parts/accessories/holsters are easier to get for the M&P. If you're not shooting a lot, or you only shoot in places where they restrict how you use a pistol, these things may be of less importance.

I have both in my house.

Reliability and mechanics aside, the p07 duty feels 1000x better in the hand imo. It's like a glove and to me is near perfection comfort wise. The M&P is a full size and looks and feels twice the heft the semi-compact p07 duty does. Aftermarket support for the p07 is practically non-existant, although there really isn't much to upgrade. M&P is easy to find accessories for. Triggers are black and white, M&P is a striker fired pistol, p07 duty uses the omega trigger DA/SA system. Both are decent, nothing particularly special in either although I will say the Omega trigger is an improvement over a standard 75b style CZ trigger, which many think is already pretty decent. I'm not particularly fond of the 2 part trigger on the M&P, it's not a big deal but that little piece of flappy plastic annoys me, just personal preferance.

I have run the p07 duty hard through multiple courses until it was out of commission full of wet sand and the slide wouldn't even fully close. Q-tip and a field strip and it was good to go in minutes. It is dead reliable and has never otherwise failed me mechanically in any fashion. THe M&P I have not run as hard, but it also has never mechanically failed on me in any fashion either.

Honestly they are very different and I would recommend you try out both before making a choice. p07 duty is one of the extremely few polymer framed hammer fired guns on the market vs the full size striker fired M&P. Both are accurate, very different triggers, semi-compact p07 vs full size M&P, different amount of accessories available etc etc.

:wave:never shot the p07.
Not sure why so many threads lately trying to re assure the not existent quality of the mp, that is, when compared to anything made in Europe.

I have several of each. My CZ got a custom grip and it feels perfect in teh hand. A heavy gun, so mild 9mm is like a BB gun -great for fast shooting in CQB. It got a trigger job and is as close to a perfect trigger as i could imagine.

I switched to the M&P (Apex trigger) because, for whatever reason, when I shoot fast in CQB I get better results with it. Go figure.

For utility the M&P works well. For absolute accuracy and pride of ownership, the CZ is better.

I had a few M&P's as well as a P-07 Duty. Both are plastic but they are pretty different guns tho.

M&P is a full size striker fired and P-07 is a hammer fired compact gun. It's shorter than G19/23 IIRC. I replaced M&P's with Glock after gen4 came out and not interested in going back but kinda wish I still had the CZ. It was very comfortable and quite accurate for its size. Also trigger was good as well. One thing I hated tho was the cheap sights.
