Hi guys ! I'm looking to find CZ-75 Pre-B (Type A) Mags.. Please someone tell me you have one for me. What are my options if I don't find one ? Can I modify mine so it can take CZ-75B easily or is it a crappy thing to do?

Thanks !

There was no way on this green earth that my Shadow mags could fit in my Pre-B. The regular CZ75B mags will fit, but very tight and will not drop free. New Pre-B mags are like saskquatches - everyone knows someone who has seen one, but no one has actually seen one for themselves.

My own pre-b takes my Shadow mags just fine. But the mag well "spring" was swapped out for a flat non springy version by a previous owner. So that may be part of the trick.

A few of the mags had a snug spot or two but a little very careful and gentle squeezing in the vise pushed these shallow rounded bumps from production in so they were flat. The mags then fit and drop free just fine.

The pre-b also came with one pinned high cap mag which I presume was the original mag for the gun. It fits both my Shadow and the pre-b pretty much the same with perhaps a touch of extra slop in the Shadow.

Factory (i.e. CZ) CZ75 mags worked in mine. Got 3 from CZ Custom quite some time ago. Quite pricey as I recollect.

There is/was an outfit in southern Alberta that stocked them. I think the name is/was "Guns N Things". Stocked all manner of CZ parts. Their website appears to be defunct, but I found this email address "gunsnthings@gmail.com".

You need to file the inside of the magwell very slightly to make a 75B mag fit. I was reticent to do this to mine, so spent a great deal of time combing the EE for mags to come up (they do from time to time).

Try cz 75 b mags in your gun if Corwin Arms doesn't work out. The ones I have tried work perfectly in my pre-b. It has the drop free mod, otherwise stock. No mag well filing should be required.

Thanks very much guys ! I appreciate the infos. I will try with Corwin ! If it's not working then i'll make the modification to the magwell..

The magazines that we have in stock at the moment are only B models. At one point we had 200 A models magazines but I was not aware that they were A models just though they were not good so we let them go for cheap to a dealer on Calgary gun show in 2014. He said he could fix them but now I believe he knew they were A model magazines.

By the way how many A model CZ pistols could be in Canada?
We can order A model magazines any time however quantity needed is big
