CZ 75 Shadow front sight not level

I took my replacement CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow out to the range for the first time today. The front sight is not level (vertical). It is leaning to the left from the point of view of aiming the gun.

I plan on removing the front sight to see what the problem is, but I do not have a punch to remove the pin that is holding the sight in position. Is this likely to be an installation issue or could there be a problem with the sight or slide?
 
Replacement you say? Havnt heard of this issue before.....will be watching with interest....

Yeah, I had to exchange my first Shadow because the finish was thin on one side of the frame and there were two small dings with exposed metal. The finish on this gun is perfect except for a slightly angled front sight. It was not very obvious until I took it to the outdoor range yesterday.

I will upload a few pictures.
 
It is really hard to get a picture looking straight on at the gun with my crappy HTC One. Regardless, I think that this picture shows it. You can see that the left side of the sight sits lower in the slide than the right side.

It is much more obvious when looking down the sights outdoors. It is difficult to keep a consistent sight picture between shots because of the angle of the front sight.

Looks pretty obvious to me from that pic...suprised you're having such bad luck...hope this gets sorted quickly for you..they really are great pistols...this kinda s*^t can ruin a relationship....lol
 
The sight itself appears bent! The recess in that photo looks cut correctly but that's difficult to judge for sure until you remove the pin and slide it out.

I've had the back hoop on the front sight of a Shadow break before because I had my AR kydex double mag pouch to close to my holster and broke it drawing my pistol. They're rather soft metal.
 
Yeah, it sucks. When I took my time, I was able to shoot a 3" group at 25 yards. But the gun was shooting 6" left of POA and I found it really hard to keep a consistent sight picture between shots.

I guess that I will talk to the guys at Reliable Gun next week, but they already paid for shipping on the previous exchange. I will probably wind up going through CZ's warranty centre (Dlask Arms?). Hopefully they are fast...

Maybe, but I would understand if they told me to go through the warranty centre. This sale has already cost them the cost of shipping to return it to them and they had to replace it with a gun from their new shipment which is selling for $950 (I bought it for $800). They have already done a lot to help me with CZ's ridiculous QC issues.

Does anyone know if Dlask Arms is easy to deal with for CZ warranty issues?
 
Maybe you can tap it (bend it)over with a brass punch, after you contact Dlask or Reliable. What about the crack looking thingy to the left? (as we see the picture)

lol, you guys aren't helping. He'll want to return/exchange Shadow's endlessly for minor defects.
 
Remember, Polycoat is like a paint, Armacoat or Ceracoat which is applied on top of metal. It is several times thicker than a traditional bluing or parkerizing. Any visible crack does not necessarily means that you have a cracked frame or slide. If you are not comfortable with what you have, I doubt if the dealer will extend some help this time. You can try talking to them. Next time you buy a pistol, go directly to the dealer. Inspect the firearm to satisfy your requirements. I understand that we pay what our dealers wanted for our toys. But sometimes, we have to be reasonable. Minor cosmetic defects are very common to firearms of this price level. If you want a near perfect or near perfect pistol, get a customized STI, top of the line Kimber, Sig, Tanfoglio and the likes.

Thanks for the worthless reply. The defects on my first pistol were not minor and that is why it was returned. The topic of this post is the front sight, which clearly has a problem. Like I said, I am fine with going through the warranty centre to get it fixed.

And the "crack"? It is oil reflecting light from the flash on my phone...

I appreciate your attempt at helping, but I do not understand where this talk about returning a gun because of a crack in the powdercoat is coming from...Is there a reading comprehension problem on this forum?

This post is about the poorly installed or warped front sight post. That is not a cosmetic defect.
