Has anyone purchased or seen one of the new "CZ 75 Shadow Line" postols?

Does anyone know if there is a firing pin block? I have looked on the web site and in one section it says there is one and in another it says there is none.

Thanks,

From CZ-USA Site:

CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow Black 9mm FACTORY GUN

This new generation CZ 75 SP-01 pistol especially adapted according to suggestions from Law Enforcement, Military and Police communities worldwide with an additional input from Team CZ shooters Angus Hobdell and Adam Tyc.

The CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW features:

New style sights consisting of fiber optic front and Competition Style rear promote faster and more accurate target acquisition.
Shadow is fitted with a newly redesigned hammer originating from the CZ 75 Champion.
This hammer is slightly wider and has modified sear engagement for smoother release and more positive ignition.
85 Combat style slide without firing pin block helps to smooth the trigger pull and improve distance of trigger reset.
85 Combat Style trigger with over travel adjustment helps to remove excess rear ward trigger movement.
Higher cuts beneath the trigger guard and beaver tail enable a higher grip on the gun, which helps to reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip.
Lighter recoil and main springs originating from original CZ 75 Specifications help to create a smoother more consistent action.
Safeties as found on the CZ 75 SA are fitted as standard; these provide a larger surface area for better positioning of the thumb.
Extended Magazine release allows for ease of reach and more positive ejection of magazine under stressful situations.
Fully beveled magazine well, substantially improves speed and ease of reloading.
Pistol is supplied with three 19 round magazines and rubber grips.
This new generation of CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow pistol is designed for Law Enforcement, Military service, Self-defense, General Range Use and Competition.
These guns ship from us with 3 magazines making them and even better value.

From CzUb site:

The shadow platform of pistols is based on a well-proven concept of the CZ 75, SP-01, and d compact pistol series. These handguns are built according to customers suggestions and their requirements.
This is a contemporary design of traditional handguns exploiting properties of the world-renowned CZ 75 SP-01 shadow pistol.

al grips
advanced ergonomics
no firing pin blocks
sp-01 shadow sights
modern hammer shape
ambidextrous thin shape safety
steel recoil spring guide rod
smooth nickel-plated trigger blade travel
high accuracy, service life and reliability
higher capacity nickel-plated magazine 17+2

Maybe a current owner can share a factual information. This pistol is in my current wishlist together with a Tactical Sport.

No firing pin block. The shadow line only differs from the regular shadow in that it has a steel guide rod, nickel plated trigger group, and slim aluminum grips.

The original SP01 Shadows are fantastic out of the box. If you can find one for under $800 new, grab it. Stainless full guide rods don't improve already outstanding accuracy.

Great thanks all.

I have been looking for SP 01 shadow, but I found one of these new "75 Shadow Line" CZ's. It felt good in my hand, really liked the factory fibre site and the trigger pull was smooth in both sa or da........ I have been trying to find some info/reviews with not much luck. I can only find a bit on the CZUb web site that is quoted above.

I think I have found a new gun for the top of my list!!

The 75 Shadow differs from the SP-01 Shadow in that it does not have a FLDC and is legal out of the box for IDPA. CZ USA rep had one at the Washington State match. Outstading pistol. Even with the first shot being DA this gun could give the striker fired guns a run for it in SSP division. Not sure why importers aren't chasing the gun down for the Candian market. No it does not have a FPB.

Ok so to simplify- the new cz 75 sp01 "shadow line" differs from the cz 75 sp01 shadow by having: new thin aluminum grips, steel guide rod and polished nickel trigger group? All for only $50 more than a standard sp01 shadow? Seems like its a good deal to me. Has anybody done a direct comparison between how these new grips feel compared to the competition aluminum grips you can buy aftermarket for any sp01 model? I also noticed the new shadow line has beveling or scalloping just below the beaver tail where your top of hand sits. Does this improve ergos too?

There are two slightly different lines here.

The SP-01 Shadow and variants (Mainly distinguished throughout by a FLDC)

and the

75 SHADOW and variants (mainly distinguished throughout by the lack of a FLDC)

Aside from a few talented shooters I doubt the difference in performance of any of the Shadows would materialy effect how the rest of us would score in either IPSC or IDPA but that is just my opinion. PT Barnam had something to say about the matter back in the day.

I am very new to the pistol world and still figuring out all the acronyms. Therefore what does FLDC mean? My guess is full length dust cover....

But that 75 Shadow is not approved for IPSC Production yet, I guess ?

PS
But I want it.

me too!!!!! I made a deposit and can't wait for the paper work to be completed.........it will be my first!

CRAFM received some last week when I went and they also have slim safeties. If I were to buy a Prod gun, I'd take the ShadowLine because it comes with the alu grips and slim safeties. The hammer is also "improved" as per say

If you are into DA/SA guns for IDPA this is the gun to buy. Snowboy you just set my bank account back $900.....thanks. Vince will have a hard time approving the gun for IPSC Production but that is his problem.
