Who will mill a CZ 75 SPO1 ( pre shadow, with a FPB ) For a optic?

Dlask won't,
Casey at Tacord won't
Blackbox custom has a hidden refinishing fee ontop of the cost of milling.

I want just the milling done, no refinishing.

Have you considered RDS mounts that fit in the original rear sight dovetail slot?
Thinking Meprolight ML-88081

Jimbo14 has a guy in Vancouver who did his, you could PM him, I'm sure he would pass on the info

Thanks I will.

I want to remove the use of a mount, for lower mounting. I had a Luepold mount, with a Shield RMS ( lowest setup short of milling ) I didn't trust that mount, and I didn't like the sight always on, or unable to change the brightness. I'm now runner a Springer Precision mount and a Vortex Venom. Sits pretty high up. While I like having a RDS. Having no back up sight hindered me a when it came to quick speed shooting. As found out Sunday on a match.

I was just looking at this too, red tower armoury was doing it but last I talked to them they had stopped for the time being. Might be worth the call to see if they started up again. Easily would have had blackbox do mine but their silly policy of refinishing the entire slide is a no for me. something about me selling my gun and the next guy thinking they cut corners bla bla bla or something....

I would love for them to re consider. But them pushing the refinish policy, makes a small part of me wonder. What are they trying to cover up during the machining?

If they seen my gun. It would be like taking a old brown patina reciever and putting a brand new high gloss blued barrel on it.

Well after talking to Jay at BBC, I understand where he is coming from. Unfortunately pre CZ Shadows slides are unable to be milled by them.

I just sent my slide off to Jimbo14's contact. He is going to mill it, make a plate for the Vortex Venom, and make a plate for the rear sight.

I got mine back from Joseph. Excellent work.

Made me a custom rear sight plate ( incase I want to sell it )

But here is my S1. Yes I know my finish is messed on my frame, my ultra sonic was the culprit. Will get refinished after the PPC provincials. Will be getting a slightly taller front sight, so I can use the hash marks on the back of the Venom for backup sights.

It sits about .130" lower than the top of the slide. My SP01 with the Springer Precision, sits about .130" higher than the top of the slide. Cannot wait to get to the range.

Very cool! It's unfortunate that you have those gaps in front of and behind the RDS, but I know those are just cosmetic. Was that done to give you extra room to mount other optics?

I had similar issues trying to track down an affordable shop to do milling work for a P226. I ended up going with AusCan Tactical. It was basically half the cost of going with BBC once you factor their mandatory cerakote charge into the price.

Thanks, not sure the reasoning of the gap, others are like this. I know they had to modify the extractor pin. I'm just happy I found someone that could do it. I paid 400 for the work, but that included milling, the optic plate, the custom rear sight mount, cerakoting the plates and return shipping. But I like it.

I put over 1000rds since getting it done, also shot a PPC provincials, I had zero issues, still love it. I did have a failure with my Vortex Venom which was repaired quickly. But I purchased a Romeo1, as I realized I need a back sight. So I'm getting an another plate made, for the new optic. Which I might ask to take up the gap.
