CZ 75 SP-01 SAO conversion?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has a 'how to' document on conversion of a CZ 75 SP-01 shadow to SAO? I have no competition aspirations, I just like to shoot and would like to convert over to SAO, as I find the DA way too long of a reach for my hands (finger tip is slipping off the trigger on the DA pull unless I adjust my grip in a big way)

I've done some general searching on the net in addition to searches on CGN, and have not been able to find any type of definitive or detailed 'how to' type guide.

From my understanding, I will need a SA trigger (preferable with 2 adjustment screws), a new SA hammer (though not necessarily required, but when paired with the SA trigger, will give best results), and to remove the disconnector.

If anyone could either point me in the right direction of a 'how to' or give me some insight on the change, I would greatly appreciate it.

Even personal, experiences, or things to be aware of would be appreciated :)

Cheers,
F.

Is the SP-01 that much different then my 75B?

Is the hammer not cocked back and ready to fire in SA when you chamber the first round to put the gun into battery?

I have to manually lower the hammer if I want my first shot to be DA... Is the SP-01 not the same? or does it have some sort of an auto decocker?

It does have to be manually decocked. But I want to make it SAO, if it is as straight forward as it looks it may be.

You will have to replace the trigger mechanism with one from the Tactical Sport. This can be done, just do a search. YouTube is usually a good resource.
