Hello,

Just purchased a CZ 75 Shadow 1 and want to replace the factory rubber grips.

Looking online for new grips and was wondering if the Shadow 2 grips fit on the Shadow 1. Either aftermarket or original CZUB grips. Seems to be a larger aftermarket following for the Shadow 2 with more grip options, and also like the factory Shadow 2 grips.

Thanks,

Hi,
Check DLASK, they used to have several colour of alu grips for the Shadow 1. That being said, I personally like the rubber grips on mine.

And while you're at Dlask web site, check for a stainless steel guide rod and extra recoil springs. Lots of people will tell you that the factory plastic guide rod is quite all right. Me: I like steel guide rods...

I picked up a stainless guide rod but read the polymer one provides a buffer for the recoil so never put it in, anyone heard of this?

I would say, run a few hundred rounds through the stock config, then prioritize. My daughter likes thin aluminium grips, I run thin VZ G10, but don't mind the stock rubber grips either. Lighter main and recoil springs (13 / 11 lbs) + competition hammer and pre-B disconnector will make the Shadow truly sing. For the latter, it is better to order hammer, disco, hammer strut, 2x hammer pins, and left hand safety as a package.

...What? The addition of a buffer provides a buffer. Lol. The guide rod does not.

Incidentally, the buffer addition is easily the best 5 dollar upgrade you can buy for your CZ. Haha.
