Hi,

I bought some magazines from marstar under the impression they would fit in my shadow, from here: https://www.marstar.ca/dynamic/product.jsp?productid=87249

Now... they do fit but they are really right and don't release when you hit the mag release, they need to be pulled out. From pictures it's pretty obvious why, the taper starts later on the new magazines. http://imgur.com/a/YwdP2

So... are these magazines supposed to fit in this gun or did I make a mistake and buy a bunch of ones that won't fit? Attached are some pictures so you can see the difference between the two. New magazine is the meg gar with the blue follower. ones that came with the gun have no markings.

If they don't fit... does anyone want to buy some magazines?

I have 3 of the same mags and they work fine in my SP-01. They're pretty sought after so you shouldn't have any problem moving them on the EE.

Ah I found the issue, it's a pretty stupid one I'll admit.

I've got aftermarket hogue grips on the gun and the inside had some extra flashing on the inside. Apparently it was enough to pinch the magazine and prevent it from releasing.... I measured both mags with a caliper before posting though and they are pretty close (+/-0.005") but I guess that's enough?

So, an exacto knife and 20 minutes and now the magazines are as good as factory. Thanks Hook for telling me they should fit and making me have a closer look... I've had the stupid things since January and haven't been able to use them.

Bullseye in london has .40 cal Baby Eagle Mags that LEGALLY hold 14 x 9mm rounds and the are worth every penny .

You have to be careful nowadays as the new Baby Eagle mags won't work in the Jericho, which I gather by extension means they won't work in a shadow. You have to make sure they're the older ones.
