I am looking into buying one and would like to hear any comments in regards to this model.
Also, who sells Shadow in Canada?
Are the CZ75 mags interchangeable with Shadow?
How is the trigger?
What kind of mods are require or just don't touch it, it works fine :)

Thanks

Peter

CRAFM is one of the sellers.

The SP01 Shadow is a variant of the CZ75 and allow for interchangeable mags. It is a factory-tuned model of the regular SP01 so that one may use it for Production class IPSC.

Very tempting deal(for me as well) indeed.

I have my name down for one as soon as Armco gets them in:D:D:D:D. (soon I hope;)). Guns n things also carry them (none in stock at the moment) and Al Simmons as well as Target Sports can order them, (about a week and a half) if the distributer has them in stock .

I understand that the CZ 75 FACTORY mags will fit the Shadow. Third party mags might be a problem:confused:. I just aquired a mint 1989 CZ75 with three mags so I was also interested in the mag fit for my, soon to be, new Shadow. Gunnar at Armco also said they would fit.

Other than that I can't tell you much, other than I've heard the trigger is excellent, as is, and that the gun is heavier than the 75 and recoil will not be as pronounced. If its on the same order of quality as this CZ75 I just got, and no reason it shouldn't be, then get ready to be impressed. The accuracy is outstanding, fit and finish gets a 10, trigger needs a little work (the 75 that is) and it fits really nice into my hand so it just shoots where you point.

I too would like some Shadow owners to chime in.

The shadow is a great choice, and the mags are not a problem.
Trigger on SA is about 3 to 3.5 out of the box and the DA runs about 8lbs or more.
Some strategic grease or oil is about all they need and maybe a lighter mainspring.

Frank is a good guy to deal with,..I purchased a Shadow for my son, and a Shadow for a friend through CRAFM. No problems, quick shipping and paperwork. He also sells Bladetech holsters for the Shadow, and Tanfoglio, CR speed,...GUGAS,...etc...

Wolverine Supplies had some. Call them to see if they have any in stock.

I don't like sights on Shadow, I prefer Sig 226 or SP-01 Tactical.

The trigger is very light on Shadow. Much smoother than SP-01 but
Sig 226 has the best trigger of the three.

Sig 226 is much easier to clean. My accuracy of the three is comparable,
but I had to train extra hard to adjust my finger to the light trigger and
my eyes to Shadow's fibreoptic sight.

Mags are interchangeble.

If you are going to change anything, I'd change the sights or at least adjust them.

You will be very happy with the CZ Shadow, I had the pleasure of firing a few before I bought my own.. easy descision. Mags are interchangable, but like Mr. Clean mentioned, you may want to order a lighter mainspring for it. Mine still has the original mainspring, and I find it to be just fine for me.

I bought mine from Frontier (a board sponsor).

The trigger is quite good, especially for a factory tuned gun. The reset is respectable which is one of the drawbacks of Sigs without the new SRT (short reset trigger).

OK, I bought one from Epps.
Now wait time for transfer, 2 maybe 3 weeks and then play time.
Epps has them for 779 a piece, I think that is a good deal.

Another Question: Which magazines should I buy for Shadow and who sells them in Canada?
THANKS

Greetings

I love my Shadow. I got it from Wolverine last summer, it was the last one at the time. I am sure they have received more since then.

With CanadianBDX "light" Production loads it shoots like a dream!
